During this time, he made his first contact with Tradition, the pastor of one of those parishes being Father Santiago Hughes, who later joined the Society (1996). At Father Hughes’ invitation Reverend Fallarcuna followed his first five day Ignatian retreat at Our Lady of Victories in 1997. In October 1997 he joined the pre-Seminary in Manila, transferring to St. Bernard pre-Seminary in Iloilo in 1999. His first contact with Tradition was in 1990 attending the traditional Mass of Father Peter Rogers. In 1993, when visiting Manila, he had his first contact with the Society of Saint Pius X. He started pre-Seminary at the priory in Manila in 1999, then moving St. Bernard Pre-Seminary in IloIlo, Santa Barbara. His first contact with Tradition was in 1997, when the Marian movement of which he was the leader, invited Father Couture to Cebu. He then became a captain in the Apostles of Mary, a traditional apostolic organization established by the Society for working with youth. In May 1998 he entered the pre-Seminary in Manila, and transferred to Holy Cross Seminary in September 1999. Reverend Taouk REVEREND RAYMOND TAOUK

He learned about Tradition in 1997, and after having first criticized the Society because he felt it was schismatic, he became an ardent supporter, studying the issues in depth, attending Mass in Rockdale and fortnightly catechisms in Granville. After an Ignatian retreat in June 1997, he entered Holy Cross Seminary in March 1998, transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona (U.S.A.) in August 2002. Having finished his studies in June 2005, he returned to Holy Cross Seminary for his final preparations for the priesthood.
